Located in Portland's Old Town neighborhood between NW Couch and NW Davis Streets. One block from the Old Town/Chinatown light rail stop. Wheelchair access is available through the Merchant Hotel courtyard.

Tuesday - Saturday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Sunday, noon to 3 p.m.

Museum admission:
$5 adults, $3 seniors (62+)/students, children 11 and under free,
free for Friends of Oregon Nikkei Endowment

 

Group tours, speaking engagements, and research appointments are available.

Japanese American Museum of Oregon activities and resources are designed to collect and preserve and share the Nikkei history with a broad range of audiences.

  • Guided tours of the museum exhibits and of the Japanese American Historical Plaza.

  • Speakers for schools, services clubs, and community organizations.

  • Museum in a Suitcase, a portable exhibit for classroom presentations by our speakers.

  • Research library.

  • Historic documents and artifacts.
